By Air

Two international airports in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, both designated as Foreign Trade Zones, are served by major airlines and provide access to all domestic and international destinations. Oklahoma is also home to 135 public-use airports, 43 of them jet capable.

By Road

Oklahoma industry is served by more than 12,000 miles of highway. The state is a hub for I-35, I-40, I-44, U.S. 69 and other major trade routes, allowing business and industry to deliver products to customers across North America. Annually, the trucking industry moves 500 million tons of freight in Oklahoma.

By Rail

Oklahoma operates more than 3,850 miles of railroad track – including 2,536 miles of Class I service. Major rail providers are Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe. Annually, Oklahoma’s 19 freight railroads ship 226 million tons of cargo, and more than 5 million carloads of freight.

By Water

Oklahoma’s strategic location is able to supply 20 states by waterway. With three inland ports, including one of the largest, most inland ice-free river ports in the U.S., in addition to 3 intersecting interstate highways: I-40, I-35 and I-44 – offering access to every corner of the U.S. and the world.

Incentives & Opportunities

You won’t find a state in the United States that beats Oklahoma’s renowned business environment. Large-scale incentives, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and energy costs 22% lower than the national average make Oklahoma an opportunity you don’t want to pass up.

Oklahoma has some of the lowest tax rates and some of the best tax incentives in the nation. The state offers companies a low cost of doing business, a low cost of living for employees, and tax rebates that reduce tax burdens even further.

Grant Opportunities for Locating + Expanding Businesses

Grants of up to $1,000,000 are available for infrastructure financing to Oklahoma communities to assist new business locations or expansions.

Five-year Ad Valorem Tax Exemption

A qualifying manufacturing company can abate ad valorem taxes upon new, expanded or acquired manufacturing facilities and equipment for a period of five years. This incentive is available for manufacturing, research and development, warehouse and distribution, certain computer/data processing services, refinery and aircraft repair.

American Indian Lands Tax Credit

Because of the state’s unique Native American heritage, two-thirds of Oklahoma locations qualify for special federal tax treatment. Businesses locating or expanding in these areas can claim accelerated federal depreciation on their buildings, resulting in tax savings of up to 40%.

Oklahoma knows a quality workforce is a critical component of business competitiveness and success. Oklahoma is among the top 10 most productive workforces in the U.S., and Oklahoma is also a constitutional Right to Work state with low unemployment insurance taxes and programs significantly reducing hiring and training start-up costs. Real GDP growth was the 6th fastest in the U.S. at 3.9% (Q4 18-Q1 19) and remains in the top 10 in most recent estimates.

Workforce Tax Credit

A range of Tax Credits are available for key industries including: Aerospace, Automotive and Software/Cybersecurity workforce. Tax credits are available of up to $5,000 per employee in these areas. 

10-year Cash Incentive

Oklahoma’s successful Quality Jobs incentive program promotes job growth and helps improve your company’s bottom line by injecting cash back into your business as you expand and create new jobs in Oklahoma.
