The automotive stamping plant in South Charleston is now officially in operation. Gestamp announced its intention to move into the formerly-shuttered plant in April 2012 and started small scale cold line product production by September.

webastoOn November 14th 2012 Governor Steve Beshear announced that Webasto Sunroof Systems Inc. plans to expand manufacturing operations in Lexington, creating 65 new, full-time jobs and investing $10 million in the Commonwealth. Gov. Beshear met to discuss the potential project with Webasto officials this summer during an economic development trip to Germany.

Governor Mitch Daniels joined executives from plastics packaging producer TriEnda LLC today to announce the company's plans to locate a manufacturing operation in the former Thomson Manufacturing center here, creating more than 340 new jobs by 2012.

The maker and distributor of thermoformed plastic pallets, trays and materials handling and packaging products plans to invest more than $20 million to site a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution center at the former center in the northeast Indiana city.
